Ksubi Eyewear’s new Spring Summer 2015 collection embodies the raw underground aesthetic the Australian fashion house is renowned for. A cohesive nod to the past, present, and future, the range showcases a diverse fusion of inspiration. Everything from a 50’s inspired cat-eye(LIVIA), to a 70’s squared-off aviator(HELICON), feels very fresh through metallic finishes, modern detailing and lens treatments. This blend of vintage vibes with minimalist execution brings out a eclectic, yet very wearable assortment of one of a kind sunglasses.
The colors of the season include a staple of sleek black, gold, silver, tortoise, faded blue, and a new signature “Bleached Denim” acetate – inspired by Ksubi apparel’s denim washes.

Australian based Ksubi Eyewear is back with their new Summer 2014 collection, and their signature avante-garde aesthetic. Their new range entitled “REPLICANTS” embraces the duality of their contrasting and seemingly polarizing influences: street and luxury, minimalism and baroque, antique and post-modern.
Black serves as the base color throughout the REPLICANTS collection, with accents of translucent purple, metal trims and military green reflective lenses. Also introduced is a custom polka dot acetate which has been exclusively created for collection staples ‘Bellatrix’ and ‘Batcat’.

Ksubi Eyewear’s Summer 2013 collection is now available.
Australian based, Ksubi has long been one of our favorite labels here at Eyegoodies. They never fail to demonstrate their ability to depart from conformity and create collections which are concise and always original— as in the case with their latest summer 2013 offering.
The range takes its cues from their ready-to-wear collection which highlights “religion, royalty, and old world luxury”. However in true Ksubi fashion this is translated with a fresh fashion forward pulse. The collection includes a diverse assortment of one of a kind styles, such as the appropriately named ‘BATCAT’, a twist on a cat-eye design where the ends are shaped like a bat’s wings. Or the ‘Lacerta’, a variation of the same shape which features translucent cut-outs. Fan favorites such as the ‘CISCO’ and ‘ARA’ sunglasses return, but this time are set off with high shine gold metal or gold mirrored lenses.

Ksubi Eyewear joins forces with world renowned designer Richard Nicoll for a limited edition capsule collection.
The highly acclaimed summer 2012 collaboration between Richard Nicoll and ksubi is based on Henri Georges Clouzot’s unfinished 1966 ‘Masterpiece L’enfer’.
“Approaching the idea of taking classic cat’s eye and 1950-60’s shapes, which are modernized through detail and technique to create sleek and refined frames, the capsule offers architecturally strong lines softened with reflective surfaces and chain detailing, further resulting in a look that is simultaneously minimal and glamorous. The monochromatic colour palette is reminiscent of Clouzot’s French 60’s cinematography while glossed styles are carefully outlined with metallic hues. Chrome and mirrored lenses are nostalgic yet directional.”
The collection is filled with one head turning piece after another: glossed acetate styles with metallic outlined lenses, as well as metal frames polished to such a purity they are indistinguishable from their matching silver mirrored lenses (a strong effect hard to capture on camera, best appreciated in person).

Ksubi eyewear’s 2012 “WAR” collection is now available.
The collection, fittingly entitled “WAR”, is by far our favorite Ksubi offering to date. There’s a fresh modern aesthetic created which is both raw and refined. It effortlessly fuses ideas and techniques from classic steam punk, traditional biker, fashion, street and sports.
“Adding to its repertoire with 12 unisex styles across sun and optical, the collection remains sharp, classic and modernized. High shine, metals laminated with luxe leather detailing blend original and timeless elements to achieve a trademark style.”
From modern military aviators with different textures(“Cisco”) to “winged” cat-eye frames(“Rana”), the range presents an array of one of a kind styles which are fashion forward yet remain very clean and wearable.

The latest 2012 Ksubi Eyewear collection entitled “Ad Asrtra Per Aspera”, is now in stock.
“Ad Astra Per Aspera” (Latin for: from hardships to the stars) is the motto. Always looking forward, pushing boundaries, and dreaming big, it is fitting that Ksubi chose it as the title for their new collection.
The new range and campaign “is based on paranoid alien obsessed fanatics and their anarchistic lab nerd style”. Fashion forward, sophisticated, and very wearable the collection heralds inspiration from the 1950’s to the 1990’s and beyond. Everything from cat-eye shapes, to rimless, to outlined frames in translucent acetates, are completely reimagined in true Ksubi form.
The latest look book, shot by Kane Skennar, imaginatively and playfully blends a bit of out of this world crazy with an underlying geek chic sophistication, check it out below.
