Oliver Goldsmith, founded in London in 1926, didn’t invent sunglasses — but they did make them a fashion accessory. Their signature sunglasses have adorned nearly every major celebrity and style icon from the 50’s onward. Think 20th Century icons such as: Michael Caine, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, Jackie O, and the list goes on. Today, the legacy set forth way back then is continued through Oliver’s great-granddaughter Claire Goldsmith. The same quality, craftsmanship, and pride in handmade eyewear — One of kind sunglasses that speak not through obnoxious logos, but by the beauty, individuality, and personality in their designs.
Fuz is a British slang term for police; however rather than enforce the rules, the Fuz (1966) sunglasses breaks many of them in all the right ways. A large square square eye frame it features a reverse beveled front and wide paddle temples designed to comfortable contour the wearer's head. Also worth noting, the Fuz was worn by Audrey Hepburn in the 1967 film 'Two for the Road'. In fact all the sunglasses in that film were created by Oliver Goldsmith including the white wrap around frames on the poster. Fuz also appeared on the front cover of Vanity Fair in 1965.
